A former employee of a telecommunication company has been accused in a perjury indictment of lying about the source of 2007 Final Four basketball tickets that were given to the then-superintendent of Broken Arrow Public Schools.
The indictment against Eddie Dale Bryson, 61, of Sekiu, Wash., was made public Thursday. He was arrested in the state of Washington last week and was released on bail. Prosecutors now are seeking to extradite him to Oklahoma.
Bryson is accused of lying to Oklahoma's multicounty grand jury while testifying Aug. 21 in Oklahoma City. The grand jury indicted him in August.
The grand jury in August also indicted fired superintendent Jim Sisney, 54, and Windstream Corp., which is based in Little Rock, Ark. Both Sisney and the company are charged with bribery and conspiracy.
Grand jurors allege in the bribery indictments that Windstream Corp. illegally provided Sisney two basketball tickets to the 2007 Final Four in Atlanta, and other gratuities as a show of appreciation. Corporation officials had identified the Broken Arrow School District as one of its top customers, according to the indictments.
