A Bethany man wanted on a murder complaint was arrested Tuesday in the death of man found shot in a sport utility vehicle, records show.

Brandon Lee Rollans, 27, was arrested by the Oklahoma County sheriff's warrant team and booked into the Oklahoma County jail, where he was being held Tuesday without bail, a jail official said. Rollans is accused of shooting Javier Collazo, 34, of Oklahoma City, on Sept. 15.

Police investigating an injury accident at SW 15 and S Pennsylvania Avenue found Collazo inside the SUV with a gunshot wound.

The SUV had left the roadway and hit a telephone pole, police said.

Collazo was taken to a hospital, where he died.

A warrant for Rollans' arrest was issued Monday after a witness told police Rollans called and said he committed the homicide, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Phone records confirmed the conversation, which included details of the shooting investigators had not released, police reported. The witness identified Rollans by photo, police said.

The witness told police Rollans had talked about killing himself, according to the affidavit.
