A woman was arrested Sunday after she took her 5-year-old son to a hospital with deep cuts on his legs and told police that she had spanked him with a chip bag full of glass, an arrest report shows.
Alicia Anne Croney, 24, told police that her son screamed and started bleeding after she lightly hit him with a bag she had pulled from the trash as punishment for playing video games when he was not allowed, the report says.
She said she had just thrown away glass from a broken jar but did not know that the bag had shards in it, the report says.
