CHOCTAW — A woman has been arrested in the shooting death of a man whose body was found Monday near his home.

Angela Ann Durent, 21, has been jailed on a homicide complaint in connection with the death of James Vaughn, 46, Oklahoma County sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers reports.

Vaughn was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds about 8 a.m. Monday near his trailer home in the 15000 block of SE 29.

Investigators found Durent in Midwest City. She was interviewed and admitted to shooting Vaughn, according to a news release from Myers. A car that was taken from the trailer home property also was located.

Deputies received a tip Monday that led to the arrest, the release states. Durent was booked into the Oklahoma County jail about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies have recovered the handgun they think was used to kill Vaughan, Myers said. The homicide remains under investigation.
