Woman arrested in stun gun attack on cheerleading coach

A woman accused of attacking a cheerleading coach with a stun gun has turned herself in to authorities, police said today.

Leshawn Fisher, 36, was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on Friday, police said.

The arrest came after a warrant was issued for Fisher. She allegedly used a stun gun to attack Bethany Lorenz, a cheerleading coach and biology teacher at Putnam City North High School, police said.

Lorenz was zapped in the neck with a stun gun by a woman that had flagged her down in the school's parking lot following cheerleading practice. The woman started asking questions about the cheerleading squad before the attack, police said.

The attacker left after a brief scuffle. Surveillance footage captured by cameras in the school parking lot allowed police to identify a suspect, police said.

A warrant was then issued based on police findings.
