BARTLESVILLE -- A 27-year-old Bartlesville mom who was arrested last week for drunk driving in Osage County now faces a charge in Washington County involving an incident in which she allegedly left her three children while she went to a bar.
Crystal Michelle Browning faces a charge of public intoxication after failing field sobriety tests administered by police in the front yard of her west Bartlesville home on Thursday where officers were questioning her about reports she left three children -- ages 4, 5 and 8 years -- at home while she was out drinking. Special Judge Kyra Williams lowered Browning’s bond to $500 at the suggestion of Assistant District Attorney Jared Sigler. Browning, who entered a not guilty plea to the charge, previously faced a $25,000 bond that was set Friday by Special Judge John Gerkin when she was arrested. Browning’s arrest last week came just two days after she bonded out of jail in Osage County where she faces charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident. Browning has a previous felony conviction on a 2004 Rogers County charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
