An Oklahoma woman died Friday after she pulled out in front of oncoming traffic on U.S. 75 Washington County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Sandra Hammock, 46, of Ochelata, was attempting to cross the highway from a private drive 2 miles east of Ochelata when the car she was driving was struck on the driver’s side door by a car driving north.

Hammock was taken to a Tulsa hospital after the collision, where she later died. A passenger in Hammock’s car, Sarah Gann, 21, of Ochelata, was taken to a Tulsa hospital in stable condition, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The driver of the other car, Ruth Stepien, 70, of Olathe, Kan., was taken to a Tulsa hospital in fair condition.
