Woman dies in Garvin County crash, Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports

A woman died in a pickup crash in Garvin County, Oklahoma. The crash was Thursday night.

An Elmore City woman was killed in a Thursday night crash in Garvin County, and authorities are looking for the driver of a pickup, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Robin Elizabeth Smith, 56, died in a crash on a county road a mile west of Elmore City and just north of State Highway 29 about 9:10 p.m. Thursday.

Smith was a passenger in a pickup driven north on a county road when it went off the roadway for an unknown reason and hit a guardrail. She did not wear a seat belt and was dead at the scene, the patrol reports.

The driver of the pickup is unknown, the patrol reports, and the fatal crash remains under investigation.
