A woman found dead under a bridge in McClain County likely killed herself by jumping off the bridge, authorities said Friday.
Tava Coomes, 32, was found Thursday morning by a construction worker under the James Nance Bridge on U.S. 77 between Purcell and Lexington, a McClain County sheriff's deputy said.
A police report said workers on the bridge spotted the body and called police. An investigator found show prints thought be Coomes' on the bridge above where her body was found.
The state medical examiner will make the final determination of how Coomes died. Authorities said they have no reason to believe her death was a homicide.
