Woman gunned down during drive-by shooting in northeast Oklahoma City

A woman was shot to death in northeast Oklahoma City Monday night when a car drove by and someone inside opened fire on her, police said.

A woman was gunned down Monday night in a drive-by shooting in northeast Oklahoma City, police said.

Frances Ruth Madison, 52, was standing outside near a pickup truck just before 9 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, hitting her multiple times, police said.

Madison was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police do not have a description of the suspect and don't know how many people were in the car. Anyone with information can call the police homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200.
