PARK RIDGE, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Transit has identified a woman who was struck and killed by a train in Bergen County.
Transit officials say 19-year-old Kennedy Clifford of Montvale was lying on the tracks when she was struck at about 5:30 a.m. Friday by a train bound for Hoboken. The incident is being investigated as a possible suicide.
There were 20 customers on the train, and no reported injuries among customers or crew.
Inbound service was suspended for more than three hours. Outbound service on the line resumed at about 10 a.m.
