DURANT — A Durant woman was killed and her son arrested Saturday in an incident at a Durant apartment complex, a police dispatcher confirmed today.
The victim's identity was not released.
Police received a call to the apartment complex, 551 Wilson St., on Saturday in reference to a possible homicide and found the victim dead in an apartment, police said in a news release. Officers found Ian Harley Edmondson, 22, holding a sword in the residence.
Officers arrested Edmondson in the apartment after a 40-minute standoff, police said. He was booked into the Bryan County jail without bail on a murder complaint.
