Woman pleads no contest to having sex with dogs

TULSA — A 55-year-old woman — one of two Tulsa County residents charged with crime against nature involving sexual acts with dogs — entered a no-contest plea in district court Tuesday, while a co-defendant pleaded not guilty.

Diane Sue Whalen waived her rights to a trial and pleaded no contest to the charge. A presentencing report will be received Oct. 17 by District William Kellough.

Kellough set an Oct. 13 trial date for Donald Roy Siegfried, 55, who pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Two of Whalen's dogs — a Labrador and a Weimaraner — were previously ordered forfeited to the sheriff in civil court proceedings, and have been sent them to a rehabilitation center in Utah.

Dogs are seen in videos engaging in sex acts with humans, according to an affidavit filed by Tulsa County Sheriff's investigators.

Deputies reported that in executing search warrants at the Siegfried and Whalen homes, they found what they described as a sex machine, and 119 other items such as computers, a camcorder, digital camera, more than 70 videotapes, CDs, eight dog booties, seven leashes, six dog collars and a can of dog cologne.

Whalen and Siegfried are free on bond. They face up to 10 years imprisonment.
