Woman sues church for rejecting husband's NASCAR tombstone

An Indiana woman is suing a Catholic church for refusing to install the headstone she had designed to honor her late husband’s favorite activities, according to Daily Kos.

The woman has reportedly spent $9,600 on a couch shaped black granite tombstone with color NASCAR and Indianapolis Colts logos, as well as etchings of a dog and deer, the site reports.

The church told the woman that the headstone did not meet their aesthetic standards and would not be allowed in their 100 year-old cemetery.
