A pregnant mother of two feared for her safety in the days leading up to her death and wanted to move out of state to get away from the man accused of hatching a plot to kill her, a co-worker testified Wednesday.

Fabion Demargio Brown, 25, and three others are charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and one count each of conspiracy to commit murder in the deaths of Jessica Lynn Brown and her unborn baby.

Jessica Brown, 23, was found shot to death in her Midwest City home on Jan. 11, 2012.

The co-worker, Dustin Hefton, testified that Jessica Brown told him she wanted to transfer to Washington because she was afraid of Fabion Brown, her estranged husband.

“She told me that Fabion Brown had raped her and that's how she became pregnant,” Hefton told the court.

Also charged in the case are Emily Ann Matheson, 22, Brodric Lontae Glover, 20, and LaQuan Ashley, 18.

Matheson testified Wednesday she overheard Fabion Brown — her boyfriend — plan the shooting with a friend known as “Savage.”

Prosecutors said Matheson will receive a life sentence with all but the first 15 years suspended in exchange for her testimony against Fabion Brown, Glover and Ashley.

Prosecutors allege Fabion Brown planned the killing, Glover pulled the trigger and Ashley drove the getaway car.

A judge will determine whether there is enough evidence to send the men to trial. Testimony in their preliminary hearing is set to resume Friday.

Matheson said she started dating Fabion Brown in October 2011, but did not learn he was married for two months. That's when he told her he was in the middle of a divorce and custody battle with the victim.
