Woman's death at Lake Thunderbird is ruled suicide

The death of Jessica Meyer, 28, who was found dead about 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Lake Thunderbird, has been ruled a suicide, an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokesman said.

The manner of death has been ruled suicide for a woman who was found near a Lake Thunderbird campground.

Jessica Meyer, 28, was found dead about 9:30 a.m. Saturday near the Clear Bay area. The full autopsy report is still pending, but the cause of death was determined as incised wounds to the neck, state medical examiner’s office spokeswoman Amy Elliot said.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokesman Gary Perkinson said Meyer’s body was found near a campground area, but she did not appear to have been camping.
