There’s a certain point in the summer or fall when people working or visting downtown Oklahoma City start to see huge crowds of women making their way to the Cox Convention Center.

The large crowds of women, often wearing colorful T-shirts, converge on downtown for the Women of Faith conference.

The popular conference ministry is set to stop in Oklahoma City Aug. 8-9 at the convention center, 1 Myriad Gardens. The event will be 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 8 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9

This year’s conference theme is “From Survival to Revival.”

Speakers will include Christine Caine, Sheila Walsh, Patsy Clairmont, Lysa TerKeurst, Lisa Harper and comedian Anita Renfroe. And the lineup also includes a preacher that many Oklahomans will know: Craig Groeschel, founder and senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv.

Musical guests will include Matthew West and Building 429.

Here’s a special treat for women who plan to attend the Oklahoma City  event: A special “Unwrap the Bible” event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  on April 8 at the Cox Convention Center.y Arena. This event will feature TerKeurst, Walsh and author and inspirational speaker Liz Curtis Higgs. The trio will share how the stories of three women in the Bible are bursting with insights for the women of today.

For an additional cost, conference attendees can attend the “Unwrap the Bible” event or pay to attend only that event.

Ticket prices for the conferencee

 range from $49 to $129.
