NORMAN — The Oklahoma women’s basketball team added another player to its 2013 recruiting class, announcing Felisha Gibbs’ signing Monday morning.

Gibbs, a 6-foot-2 forward from Earle (Ark.) High School, joins guards Gioya Carter (Carl Albert), T’ona Edwards (Northeast) and Derica Wyatt (Nashville, Tenn.), along with forward Shaya Kellogg (Ames, Iowa) in the Sooners’ incoming class.

Oklahoma also added Peyton Little, a sophomore transfer from Texas A&M.

“Felisha is a terrific athlete,” said OU coach Sherri Coale. “She runs well, she is a quick, explosive jumper and she makes impactful plays around the basket. She’s a raw basketball player who has a genuine desire to develop her natural gifts.”

Gibbs averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and two steals as a senior last year.
