Woody Guthrie offers 33 "Rulin's" for the New Year

The late, great Oklahoma icon Woody Guthrie continues to inspire this holiday season with his New Year’s resolutions, or “Rulin’s” as he called them.

In a journal entry dated Jan. 1, 1943, the folk singer/songwriter set out 33 New Year’s goals. WoodyGuthrie.org initially shared them, and BusinessInsider.com later passed them along, too. There’s some pretty decent advice on this list.
