x's scarred, cynical cowboy faced more mystical threats in the Lansdale-penned series. In 1993's "Two-Gun Mojo,” Hex faces voodoo-fueled zombies. In 1995's "Riders of the Worm and Such,” Hex meets a Cthulhu-like monster. And in 1999's "Shadows West,” the final Lansdale "Hex” series, Hex is involved with spirit people. Lansdale's "Jonah Hex” stories are out of print but findable. Another SoonerCon guest hailing from Texas is John Lucas, a Texan by birth who recently returned to the state after six years in New York. Lucas has drawn comics including "Batman: Streets of Gotham,” "Fear Agent,” "Exterminators,” "Arkham Reborn” and "Civil War Frontline.” SoonerCon has more than 50 invited guests and dozens of panels and performances.
