Walking Dead Magazine No. 1 (Titan)

The hit show “The Walking Dead” returned to AMC this month, and the official magazine from Titan takes an inside look at both the show and the comic book on which it is based. The zombie survivalist epic is in its third season on television, and in 2012, the comic book released its 100th issue.

The magazine features interviews with Robert Kirkman, creator of “The Walking Dead” and a writer and executive producer for the show; the comic's artist, Charles Adlard; Glen Mazzara, showrunner and executive producer of the TV show; Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne; and more. The 100-page magazine also features a look at the character of Michonne; a recap of the comic series so far; and an in-depth look at the storyline “A Larger World.”

Ghost No. 1 (Dark Horse Comics)

From zombies to ghosts: Dark Horse Comics is bringing back its “Ghost” series.

“Ghost” No. 0, out in September, reprinted the character's appearances in “Dark Horse Presents.” Issue No. 1, by writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist Phil Noto, went on sale this week.
