“X-Men: Battle of the Atom” is also the name of an upcoming mobile game coming this fall to the App Store and Google Play. The game is based on the comic event. According to a news release, players recruit teams of mutants and form alliances with friends to battle against classic enemies spanning multiple eras in X-Men history. The card-collecting style game allows gamers to battle in the past, present and future of the X-Men universe.

The next X-Men film will feature time travel as well, as Wolverine must go back to the past. The film will include cast members from both the original “X-Men” movies and the “First Class” film. Filming wrapped Saturday, according to a Twitter update from director Brian Singer. The movie stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Nicolas Hoult as Hank McCoy and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry and Ellen Page return from the original “X-Men” trilogy of films. Jennifer Lawrence and Lucas Till from “First Class” also are set to be in the film.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is set for a May 23, 2014 release.
