Workers' compensation court administrator accepts new job

Michael Clingman, Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court administrator, will leave Jan. 3 to accept a new job as a regional director with the Workers Compensation Research Institute.

Michael Clingman, Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court administrator, will leave Jan. 3 to accept a new job as a regional director with the Workers Compensation Research Institute.

The Workers Compensation Research Institute is a Cambridge, Mass.-based nonprofit research organization, that analyzes workers' compensation systems worldwide in order to promote positive change.

Clingman, 59, said he will remain in Oklahoma. He has served as administrator of the Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court for the past three years. He also held the post from 1985 to 1991.

Clingman has held a number of other executive positions in state government and private business, including chief executive officer of the Oklahoma State Insurance Fund, Oklahoma state budget director, Oklahoma Secretary of the Senate, Secretary of the Oklahoma State Election Board, and chief executive officer of the Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission.
