The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will host a Hoop House Construction Workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 3.

The workshop will be at the Katherine Reed residence, 1271 Sorghum Mill Road, northwest of Ardmore.

Learn how to build a commercial-scale, high-tunnel hoop house — an unheated greenhouse to extend the growing season and protect crops against extreme weather. Participants will build a hoop house during the workshop, getting hands-on experience and step-by-step instructions.

A news release asks participants to wear appropriate clothes, shoes and a hat; and bring eye protection, gloves and power hand tools.

The workshop costs $20 and includes lunch. Preregistration is required. For driving directions or to register, go to www.noble.org/agevents or call Tracy Cumbie at (580) 224-6292.
