Oklahomans who would like to learn to use herbs, flowers and essential oils to make their own signature soaps are invited to attend a “Soap Making Workshop” offered at the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension office Tuesday, April 23, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Residents will learn to mix their own soap ingredients, then choose their own exotic oils, flowers or other scents to make one-of-a-kind soaps and scrubs.

After completing the workshop, participants will take home a pound of soap and their own mold.

Charlette and Dan Hayer, proprietors of the Laughing Rabbit Soap brand, will be teaching the class, which is co-sponsored by the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service.

The workshop will be held at the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Center auditorium, located at 930 N. Portland in Oklahoma City. Pre-registration cost for the workshop is $30 and is due by April 19.

For more information about registration for the workshop, contact the Extension Service at 713-1125 or online at http://oces.okstate.edu/oklahoma.
