Guinness World Records says a 17-year-old Brazilian teenager in New York City has become the world's fastest texter by typing a 26-word message perfectly in just 18.19 seconds, beating the previous champion's record of 18.44 seconds, TIME reports.
The teenager, 17-year-old Marcel Fernandes Filho, had to text the following sentences and get both the spelling and punctuation right: “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”
And the reason he became such a fast texter is pretty impressive too.
