'World's Fattest Man' loses 644 pounds after surgery

Formerly called “The World’s Fattest Man,” Paul Mason has now shed nearly two-thirds of his body weight after gastric bypass surgery in 2010.

At his heaviest, the 52-year-old was 980 pounds and couldn’t even leave his room, according to The New York Times.

Now he’s looking forward to launching a jewelry business, learning to drive, going on vacation and finding a girlfriend, Yahoo! reports.
