The 1996 live action/animated film Space Jam was a seminal moment for kids, movie buffs and basketball fans alike.
Michael Jordan. Looney Tunes. Bill Murray. A slamming soundtrack (headlined by R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly”). An animated Shawn Bradley. Timeless.
(In retrospect, Space Jam is pretty horrendous, but it’s also the highest-grossing basketball movie of all-time, raking in more than $230 million).
Yahoo! Screen paid homage to the masterpiece with a spoof of ESPN’s 30 for 30 series entitled “30 for 30: The Space Jam Game.” They even went as far to enlist media personalities, former players and analysts like Doug Gottlieb, Greg Anthony and Kurt Rambis.
