— Children turned out with their families recently to get tips on how to safely and responsibly catch fish.

The ponds in Little River Park were stocked with channel catfish, and state Department of Wildlife Conservation workers taught kids ages 5 to 15 about fish identification, knot-tying, fish cleaning and other angling skills.
