More than 60 third- to seventh-grade students of The Studio of Sooner Theatre will present Disney's “The Little Mermaid Jr.” on Feb. 1-3.

Tickets are on sale for the performances set for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1-2 and 2 p.m. Feb. 2-3. Tickets are $10.

The cast includes students ages 8 through 13 who come from the metro area.

“Many times, youth productions are very limited on what they do technically in shows, but these performers work with professional set and lighting designers, sound engineers and costumers, so they get to experience a very professional production,” said Executive Director Jennifer Baker.

Disney just released the rights to do “The Little Mermaid Jr.” last year, Baker said, “so we have been waiting patiently to do it. The show is going to be great.”

Tickets can be purchased by calling 321-9600, online at www.soonertheatre.com or at the box office from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
