YouTube Comedy Week lineup includes Ricky Gervais, Rainn Wilson and Key and Peele

YouTube Comedy Week, which launched May 19 with “The Big Live Comedy Show,” continues through May 25.

Details on YouTube Comedy Week programming, provided in a news release, are as follows:

YouTube ramps up the laughs for its first-ever YouTube Comedy Week with dedicated programming featuring live performances, new episodes from popular YouTube comedy channels and curated top ten lists from over 100 YouTube stars at www.youtube.com/comedyweek.

The growing list of Comedy Week participants includes The Lonely Island, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman and Michael Cera of JASH, Vince Vaughn, Conan O’Brien, Rainn Wilson, Ryan Higa, Smosh, Seth Rogen, Nerdist, Norm Macdonald, The Gregory Brothers, The Onion, Tim and Eric, CollegeHumor, Comedy Gives Back, Epic Meal Time, Rhett & Link, Epic Rap Battles of History and Weird Al.

YouTube Comedy Week kick-started on May 19 with “The Big Live Comedy Show,” a two-hour, live comedy variety show with an all star cast, that can be viewed at  www.youtube.com/comedyweek or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z3cI0NnKN0.

Series & New Video Premieres
 
•    Ricky Gervais reprises his role as David Brent from “The Office” with new videos on The Ricky Gervais channel, starting May 20.
•    The JASH channel launches new programming throughout Comedy Week, including a new episode from “The “ArScheerio Paul” show, starring Paul Scheer with special guest Jordan Peele as Tupac Shakur on May 21, Jenny Slate’s new series “Catherine” on May 22 and “You and your F**king Coffee,” a new series from Mike Judge and Henry Phillips on May 24.
•    Awesomeness TV, Comedy Central Key and Peele, Grace Helbig, SoulPancake and CollegeHumor and more launch new videos daily as part of YouTube Comedy Week.
•    My Harto, Fine Brothers, Nerdist, The Onion, LOUD, Adam Corrola’s Podcast Network, and Rooster Teeth launch new shows and debut new episodes from popular series, including “Hello! Harto,” “YouTubers React,” “Set List,” “Star Fix”, “Fatty and Tatty,” “Blue vs. Red”
•    Above Average, Cracked, KevJumba and Smosh unveil exclusive videos, created specially for YouTube Comedy Week.
•    The Gregory Brothers, The Annoying Orange, ImprovEverywhere, Rhett & Link and TomSka offer comedy fans some surprise comedy collaborations as part of original programming on YouTube Comedy Week.

Top Comedy Moments

From top pranks and sketch comedy moments to the greatest musical parodies and fan-made music videos, Fine Brothers, Toby Turner, Epic Rap Battles, Midnight Beast, Grace Helbig, Prank vs. Prank, Husky Starcraft, Smosh, Key of Awesome, Ed Bassmaster, Kassem G, Shira Lazar, Warwick Davis, Brittani Louise Taylor, Crabstickz, and David Mitchell bring together the top comedy moments posted and shared on YouTube.

YouTube turns 8 on May 20. In celebration of the birthday, YouTube trends manager Kevin Allocca curated a playlist of the “Most Famous YouTube Comedy Videos of All Time” in celebration of the milestone that can be seen at http://youtube-global.blogspot.com.

Monday, May 20 at 6pm PT/9pm ET
•    Comedy Gives Back Channel Presents “International Stand-Up” – Performers from around the world take to the YouTube comedy stage, including Matt Kirshen, Rob Delaney, Rove McManus, Greg Behrendt and Henry Phillips.

Tuesday, May 21 at 6pm PT/9pm ET
•    YouTube Improv Night with UCB Theater Channel – The talented improvisers from the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) theater create comedy from the archives of you, the YouTube contributors.

Wednesday, May 22 at 6pm PT/9pm ET
•    YouTube Stand Up Night –  Host Sean O’Connor introduces you to rising stars from the YouTube stand up comedy community with performances by Jim Hamilton, Brody Stevens, Ron Funches, Sean Patton, Kyle Dunnigan and Todd Womack.

Thursday, May 23 at 5pm PT/8pm ET
•    The Annual All Nighter & Live Show from the CollegeHumor Channel – Join the cast of CollegeHumor for their annual “All Nighter,” an evening full of new original sketches and stunts, plus a live variety show hosted by CollegeHumor’s Jeff Rubin. Special guests for the night include BriTANick, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of Broad City, Elaine Carroll, Freestyle Love Supreme, The Gregory Brothers, Henry Zebrowski (star of Adult Swim’s Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell), and more. •    YouTube Comedy Week Music Show – Join JASH channel’s Reggie Watts, Megan Mullaly, Nice Peter, Nick Thune, Dragon Boy Suede, Nancy and Beth and Karen Kilgrariff for a night that celebrates the best of music and comedy . The evening will include a special appearance from the godfather of musical comedy, Weird Al Yankovich.
