Yukon elementary school tutor accused of sexually assaulting boy

An 18-year-old Oklahoma City man is charged with one count of lewd acts with a child under 16. Police said the man rubbed the genitals of an 8-year-old Yukon elementary school student he was tutoring.

An elementary school tutor has been charged with a sex crime after an 8-year-old boy told police the tutor rubbed his genitals in the school cafeteria.

Sean Douglas Nelson, 18, of Oklahoma City, was charged in Canadian County Court with one count of lewd acts with a child under 16.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by police, Nelson was a tutor for the victim at Central Elementary School, 300 S Ninth St. The boy told police he was sitting at a lunch table with Nelson on May 10 when Nelson rubbed the boy's genitals with his hand.

Nelson told police he rubbed the boy because he wanted him to “be happy,” according to the affidavit. Nelson was not a school employee.

Yukon school officials said they cannot comment on any specific case, but released a statement saying they report all allegations of inappropriate behavior to police immediately. has disabled the comments for this article.
