Yukon festival highlights children's activities

The 16th annual Festival of the Child was held Saturday in Yukon and was well attended.

— The 16th annual Festival of the Child was held in Yukon over the weekend and featured activities for kids ages 2 to 13.

More than 50 volunteer groups helped run more than 60 areas of fun for children, including animals, performing arts, and arts and crafts. Also offered were a maze, slides and laser tag.

The goal of the event was to get children outside by providing them with fun activities.
