Yukon police building opens
YUKON — Officials with the Yukon Police Department debuted their new headquarters this week.
Construction on the 26,000-square-foot building started in 2007. The $4.2 million project is funded by a 15-year, quarter-cent sales tax passed by voters in 2006.
The new police department, 100 S Ranchwood Blvd., includes an eight-cell jail and will allow all Yukon police work to be brought under one roof.
