Yukon police identify officer, man involved in fatal auto-pedestrian accident

Adam Christopher Johnson, 33, of Yukon, was hit about 4:50 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of S Ranchwood Boulevard by a Yukon police car driven by Cpl. Mike Stilley, Yukon Police Chief John Corn said.

— Police here on Monday identified an officer and a man involved in a fatal automobile-pedestrian accident on Saturday.

Adam Christopher Johnson, 33, of Yukon, was hit about 4:50 a.m. in the 400 block of S Ranchwood Boulevard by a Yukon police car driven by Cpl. Mike Stilley, Yukon Police Chief John Corn said.

The area of the accident was a few blocks south of the Yukon Police Department.

Corn said investigators believe Johnson was lying in the roadway before the collision. The accident is under investigation, Corn said.

Yukon police are waiting for a report from the state medical examiner before filing a collision report, Corn said.
