A league of their own
Yukon T-ball group gives children with disabilities chance to play team sport

YUKON — Jacob Brickey loves baseball.

The 9-year-old loves watching his two older sisters play softball. A left-hander, he has a solid swing at the plate, and he wants to play first base.

But Jacob, who lives with a neurological disorder as a result of contracting bacterial meningitis when he was 6 months old, has never been able to find a team he can play for, his mother, Sara Brickey , said.
