Gas prices up 2 cents in Rhode Island, to $3.70

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gas prices in Rhode Island have risen 2 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $3.70.

AAA Southern New England reported its weekly survey results Monday.

The price in Rhode island has risen about 3 percent since last year at this time, when the price was 11 cents lower, or $3.59 per gallon.

Gas in Rhode Island is 4 cents per gallon higher than the national average of $3.66.
