Elderly man found dead
The body of Roland Buck, 89, found bound and bruised on his kitchen floor in Tulsa Thursday night, police said. He was found dead by his nephews inside his home in the 3900 block of S Gary Place about 8 p.m., Tulsa police Capt. Richard Alexander said. Cause of death has not been determined, but police are investigating it as a homicide. Buck’s car, a silver 2002 Toyota Camry with Oklahoma tag WEC-520, is missing, he said. Police drinking investigated
Tulsa police are investigating the use of alcohol at an event at the police training center and whether alcohol was involved in the crash of a patrol car. Police records show a patrol car driven by officer Danny Bean hit a power pole and a security gate about 10:40 p.m. Oct. 16. Police Chief Ron Palmer said members of the department’s special operations team held a barbecue after a day of training at the center and alcohol apparently was involved.Transfers get tuition help

Ronald Dean Robinson, 51, of Tulsa died when he was struck by a car Thursday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. He was walking along State Highway 51, west of Hulbert, when he stepped into the road and was struck and killed by a westbound vehicle driven by Deborah Ann Jackson, 53, of Wagoner about 6 p.m., troopers said. Kris Ledford, a former Muskogee police detective, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Muskogee federal court to possessing stolen firearms and falsely claiming to be a Purple Heart recipient. He faces three to five years in prison based on federal sentencing guidelines. Ledford also is charged in Muskogee County with embezzlement, grand larceny and false declaration of ownership and in Tulsa County with impersonating a police officer. Police are searching for Brandon Michael Wright, 25, in a fatal shooting in March that resulted from an argument over a flat-screen TV. Wright is wanted on a first-degree murder complaint in connection with the death of Brook Roberson, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. Wright is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call 911. James Trinton, 18, of Edmond, who was shot last week, told police it was because he complained about a faulty CD player installation in his car. Oklahoma City police said Trinton asked two men to install a CD player and speakers in his car. The wiring later caught fire. Trinton told police he went back to complain. Police identify beating victim
City police identified Timothy John Murphy, 45, Oklahoma City, as the man who died of an apparent beating Saturday, police Capt. Steve McCool said Thursday. Murphy was found dead outside a house at 717 1/2 SW 5 about 7:50 a.m. Saturday after someone called 911 and reported a body on the ground behind that address. Booked into the Oklahoma County jail on homicide complaints were Darren Hipp, 37, Christopher Tillack, 38, and Clifford Howell, 49. All three remained in jail Thursday without bail.
