Macy's distribution center to bring up to 1,500 jobs to Owasso area

The announcement Tuesday that Macy's Inc. is building a 1.3 million-square-foot distribution center north of Tulsa was big.

So big that company executive Frank Julian described it in sporting terms.

"To put that in perspective, I know Oklahoma plays a little bit of football every now and then," said Julian, vice president of legislative affairs. "You could fit 46 football fields inside of this facility."
