Oklahoma City police officer accused of endangering investigation

An Oklahoma City police sergeant faces a misdemeanor charge after being accused of tipping off the subject of a search warrant in a drug case.

Sgt. Maria Christina Cervantes was booked at the Oklahoma County jail Friday on a misdemeanor count of obstructing officers, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said.

Cervantes has been on administrative leave since an investigation into the matter began last year.
