Oklahoma City Thunder waives John Lucas

The Thunder has waived former Oklahoma State guard John Lucas.

Lucas averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 assists in three preseason games, but has been inactive for all three regular-season games this season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived former Oklahoma State guard John Lucas III, general manager Sam Presti announced Monday morning.

Lucas averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 assists in three preseason games but was inactive for all three regular-season games.


The Thunder roster now stands at 14 players. Teams are allowed 15 players. Presti did not indicate whether the team plans to add a player. Only 13 players are available. Rookie forward D.J. White will be sidelined four to six months with a jaw injury.
