The Orr Family Farm issued its first public comments today after an accident Friday that claimed the life of a Moore toddler.

Zoe Montgomery, 1, was a passenger on a hayride Friday when she fell out as the trailer suddenly jerked, said her mother, Carrie Montgomery. Zoe was thrown under the wheels. She was flown to OU Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her dead.

"On behalf of the employees and members of Orr Family Farm & RR, LLC, we are deeply saddened by the tragic accident involving Zoe Montgomery and express our sincerest condolences to the Montgomery family," Tom Orr said in an e-mail statement sent to The Oklahoman today. "In the 5 years of operating the hayrides we have not had even a minor injury reported to us and we have had several thousand enjoy the hayrides."

Orr said the farm and hayride are open.

Police said today the investigation is ongoing.
