Three dead after wrecks on Oklahoma roads
Three people died from injuries suffered in wrecks on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Delbert Bogard, 51, Cheyenne
Bogard was driving a motorcycle south on State Highway 283 in Roger Mills County when he missed a curve. The motorcycle left the road and rolled, according to the patrol report. Bogard died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
Curtis Garcia, 33, Albuquerque, N.M.
Tosha Hanifen, 29, Ponca City
Garcia was traveling south in a northbound lane of Interstate 35, troopers said. Garcia's vehicle crashed into a pickup and a van then went into a slide and was hit by Hanifen's car. The accident occurred just after 2 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 155 in Logan County. A passenger in Hanifen's car, Aaron Hollins, 23, of Watonga, was taken to OU Medical Center. He was listed in serious condition Sunday. The driver and a passenger in the pickup declined treatment for minor injuries. The driver of the van was treated and released at a hospital, troopers said.
