Johnny Marvin Curtis, 70, Loyal.

Curtis died at the scene of a Kingfisher County wreck east of his hometown about 6:45 p.m., troopers said. Curtis was northbound in his pickup on a rural dirt road when he ran off the right side of the road.

The pickup struck a guardrail and rolled off of a bridge, coming to rest on its wheels in a creek 12 feet below, the patrol said.

Troopers said Curtis was not wearing a seat belt.

Roy D. Cheek, 34, Cleveland.

A vehicle struck and killed Cheek as he walked on a Pawnee County highway west of Cleveland about 10 p.m, troopers said.

Paul Grantham, 47, of Cleveland was driving his vehicle west on U.S. 64 and struck Cheek, who was walking in the roadway, the patrol said. The lights on Grantham’s vehicle were dimmed and troopers said he could not see Cheek.

Grantham and his passenger were not hurt.
