The home of Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops was burglarized early Wednesday while the family slept, police said.

A vehicle and other smaller items were stolen from the residence, but further details were not released because the investigation is still ongoing, Norman police Lt. Eric Lehenbauer said.

The burglary was reported about 8:30 a.m., but it is thought to have occurred between 3:30 and 4:10 a.m., Lehenbauer said.

Several members of the Stoops family were home during the burglary, but no one was hurt, Lehenbauer said.

Police did not release the names of who was home at the time of the burglary.

Bob Stoops and several University of Oklahoma football players were in Wichita, Kan., Wednesday evening for an appearance at an OU Club of Wichita event.
